French artist, Georges Lepape (1887-1971) is one of the world's most brilliant fashion illustrators. He worked with numerous fashion houses and provided cover illustrations for Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Vanity Fair and many more. I am completely obsessed with his 'Des Ombrelles' painting, which can be seen below.

Barbapapa
Barbapapa are the characters from a 1970's French children's book series by Annette Tison and Talus Taylor. The books were so popular that they were translated into over 30 languages and there is now an enormous range of merchandise featuring these creatures. I particularly love the melamine sets and greetings cards.
